Veteran actor Zeenat Aman reacts after a popular tune inspired by her hit song Dum Maro Dum was played at iPhone 13 launch. Not only Zeenat Aman but also singer Usha Uthup reacted to Apple playing the popular number at iPhone 13 launch. The song was sung by Asha Bhosle, while Usha sang the title track – Hare Rama Hare Krishna – in the film.
Speaking to a leading daily, Zeenat Aman said, “Wow! 1971 music still resonating after 40 years! What a song!” She added that it was an exhilarating feeling to learn that the 1971 music of Hare Rama Hare Krishna was still relevant.
Hare Rama Hare Krishna marked Zeenat Aman’s debut in Bollywood. The popular song Dum Maro Dum from Hare Rama Hare Krishna was picturised on Zeenat Aman and Dev Anand. 20-year-old Zeenat had won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award for the film.
Usha expressed her happiness over the use of the Dum Maaro Dum tune at the iPhone 13 launch. Fondly remembering RD Burman she said, “This is a very special, golden moment for RD Burman. I wish he was alive to enjoy it.”
The iPhone 13 launch video played a tune inspired by Dum Maaro Dum. It was to describe the features of its latest phone. The music was also played during the event when Apple CEO Tim Cook came to the auditorium to present the product line-up. The tune has been included at the very beginning of the promotional video as a part of artist Footsie’s Work All Day song.
