Kashmiri actress Zaira Wasim who rose to fame following her brilliant performances in Bollywood has disassociated from the field of acting. The talented actress who will soon be seen in Shonali Bose’ ditrectorial ‘The Sky is Pink’ made the announcement through a detailed post on her Facebook page and later she shared it on other social media platforms.
In her post, she has opened up on how the decision that she made 5 years ago changed her life. She is truly happy with the identity and this field bought a lot of love and support to her. She further added that though she might fit here but she doesn’t belong here. She kept convincing herself that she was doing okay but she lost lost all the Barakah from her life.

Zaira Wasim had marked her Bollywood debut in Aamir Khan’s super duper hit film Dangal. She had depicted the role of wrestler Geeta Phogat in the biographical sports film. Zaira was honoured with National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement by Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, at a ceremony in New Delhi in 2017. She rose to prominence by starring as a aspiring singer in the musical drama ‘Secret Superstar’ in 2017.
Zaira Wasim had started shooting for ‘The Sky Is Pink last’ last year in July. The entire cast has wrapped up the schedule. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles. It will be releasing on 11 October 2019.
