Its been a while since YouTube introduced its new feature Shorts, which enabled users to post short videos like TikTok. Now the brand in order to encourage its users in creating Shorts to roll out monetization features on the Shorts video. It has introduced massive funds for distributions to the creators.
YouTube shared the update on its blog site, stating that YouTube Shorts beta helps bring the joy of short-form video to YouTube. It’s now available to everyone in India and the U.S and they have already seen creative Shorts from the community. It states that the brand had been taking a fresh look at what it means to monetize and reward creators for their content. And thus the YouTube Shorts Fund has been introduced.
The announcement read: We’re introducing the YouTube Shorts Fund, a $100M fund distributed over the course of 2021-2022. Anyone is eligible to participate in the fund simply by creating unique Shorts that delight the YouTube community.
The Shorts Fund is not limited to just creators in the YouTube Partner Program. Creators will be eligible to participate if they create original content for Shorts and adhere to our Community Guidelines.
