The makers of Bollywood films have recreated several old songs for their upcoming movies. The latest one is O Saki Saki. The iconic song O Saki Saki was first picturised on Koena Mitra and now its recreated version featured Nora Fatehi for John Abraham’s Batla House.
There have been reports stating that director David Dhawan has confirmed that the popular song from Coolie No 1 ‘Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’, which featured Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, will be recreated for its remake, featuring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
According to reports, Neeraj Sridhar — who has earlier crooned several popular party songs such as ‘Saturday Night’ for the film Jhoota Kahin Ka — wished to recreate 1970’s most popular song Yeh Chand Sa Roshan Chehra from Kashmir Ka Kali.
When Neeraj Sridhar was asked has he ever wished he had composed or sung any Bollywood songs? Neeraj Sridhar told DNA India, “No, there is no such track that I wish I had rendered or made. But I’d certainly like to remake Yeh Chand Sa Roshan Chehra from the film Kashmir Ki Kali.”
You can watch the original version of Chand Sa Roshan Chehra here:
The evergreen romantic song Yeh Chand Sa Roshan Chehra is from the classic Bollywood movie Kashmir Ki Kali (1964) featuring Shammi Kapoor & Sharmila Tagore in lead roles.
“It’s always such a good experience to sing with someone you haven’t sung before. Same was the case with Jyotica. I think she has done a great job on the number. Amjad Nadeem and Aamir have also made such an energetic and good song,” Neeraj added.
Speaking about his favourite dance number in Hindi film industry, he told DNA, “Sooraj Dooba Hai from the movie Roy (Arijit Singh and Aditi Singh Sharma) was a beautiful track. I really like the composition, Twist, which I sang in Love Aaj Kal as well as Tumhi Ho Bandhu from Cocktail. Char Baj Gaye from F.A.L.T.U is another fun and dance track that can get one grooving.”
