Actress Yami Gautam who was last seen in Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ has signed her next. The Diva will be seen opposite ‘Mirzapur’ actor Vikrant Massey in ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’. The first look of the actress as a bride from the rom-com is shared by the makers. It has left fans excited.

In the first look, Yami is looking stunning in a forest green lehenga. She had accessorised it with some jadau jewellry a sleek bun and embroidered dupatta.
As reported by a source to Midday, “Ginny has been showcased as a woman who has a mind of her own, and they want to depict it via the look. So the director and the styling team rejected the traditional red colour to emphasize that Ginny is a different bride. After extensive brainstorming with director Puneet Khanna and several outfit changes, everyone agreed that the emerald green ensemble was perfect for the sequence.”
The story of the film is all about Ginny and Sunny who meet each other for an arranged marriage. Yami’s character rejects Vikrant. But he teams with Yami’s mother to woo her.
The romantic comedy that marks the directorial debut of Puneet Khanna is expected to go on floor soon. It will be shot across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Manali. The movie is being bankrolled by Vinod Bachchan under the banner of Soundrya Productions.
