Xiaomi Mi 9 Launched in China: Mi 9 Has Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, Triple Camera

Xiaomi Mi 9 has finally launched in China today. The phone comes with 48 MP triple rear camera as the main sensor, with a 16MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP telephoto sensor to support 2X optical zoom. Xiaomi Mi 9 has been powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 5.97-inches AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Xioami Mi 9 also features Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top. The phone has been priced at  Rs 31,748 (Approximately). It will be available in 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage only.

At Xiaomi Mi9 launch event in China, the company claimed that Mi9 to be the first mobile phone to have such a strong processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It is a 5G ready and has 7nm design as well.  Mi 9 will have 20 MP front camera for a selfie. The phone comes with 20 W fast charger too. The Chinese smartphone makers have also announced a wireless power bank to charge Mi 9 which has the capacity of 10,000 mAh. The price of the wireless power bank is 149 Yuan which roughly translate to Rs 1,578.

Talking about its weight, Mi 9 weighs around 173 grams, making it lighter than the iPhone XS Max. Xiaomi Mi9, the phone has a total thickness of 7.6 mm. Xiaomi Mi 9 also comes with slow-motion video at 960 fps. The CEO of Xiaomi has branded it as ‘Battle Angel’ in reference to the new movie ‘Battle Angel Alita’.

According to reports, Mi9 has a holographic design at the back. The blue colour variant will be showing different colours of a rainbow depending on the angle and colour of light that hits it. Accomplishing this, the phone has undergone a nano-scale laser holography process with a double-layer coating to achieve such a unique colour.

Xiaomi has used Sony IMX586 sensor in MI9’s triple camera. The camera relies on pixel binning to also create 12MP resolution photos.
