Wriddhiman Saha may undergo shoulder surgery, confirms being physically unwell
BCCI announced 18 member squad for first three Test’s against England on Wednesday, starting from August 1. As expected, name of Wriddhiman Saha was not seen in the list of players as he confirmed being physically unwell due to a shoulder injury. Most likely he will undergo a shoulder surgery and his availability is in serious question for quite some time.
Amidst assumptions related to his thumb injury, a revelation has been made through his official twitter handle that the reason he won’t feature in the Test series is due to the shoulder injury which he has been suffering from the last five months.

Dinesh Karthik will keep wickets in place of Saha in the upcoming Test series. It will be a golden opportunity for Karthik as he is striving hard over the years to cement a place in the Indian outfit. The recent heroics against Bangladesh in the Nidahas trophy brought the classy right handed batsman into limelight .
Fortunately for Dinesh Karthik, it was the match between his side Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad wherein Saha picked up the thumb injury which saw him out of the game with immediate effect.
