Karan Johar to make Hindi version of Vijay Deverakonda’s World Famous Lover?

After Arjun Reddy, Bollywood is all set to make Hindi version of Vijay Deverakonda’s yet another film, World Famous Lover. Notably, unlike Arjun Reddy, World Famous Lover did not receive positive responses from the moviegoers and critics alike.

The movie might have created a lot of buzz among the cinegoers but when it hit the theatres it did not live up to people’s expectation and turned out commercially flop at the box office. For his role and movie, Arjun Reddy star was heavily criticised.

Despite Vijay Deverakonda’s last offering tanked at the box office, Bollywood ace filmmaker Karan Johar will reportedly make a Hindi remake of World Famous Lover. 

According to reports, Karan Johar has recently watched the film and felt that World Famous Lover would surely work in the Hindi language. It is yet to be revealed, who will play the lead role in the Hindi version of WFL.

Besides World Famous Lover, Karan Johar had earlier wished to make Hindi version of Dear Comrade and he reportedly acquired the remake rights as well. However, Karan has not made any announcement regarding the same as of now. It is likely that Karan Johar might have dropped the idea of making Hindi version of Dear Comrade as the film failed to mint decent money at the box office.

As per media reports, Dear Comrade has ended its box office run with a worldwide share of Rs 20 crore and proved to be a failure of epic proportions. The AP/TS share stands at merely Rs 13 crore, which many feels is completely unacceptable given Vijay Deverakonda’s immense popularity.

Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, is currently busy shooting with Ananya Panday for his multilingual drama Fighter, which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh.
