#IWD 2021: Rhea Chakraborty breaks social media silence, shares pic with mom

Rhea Chakraborty has been away from social media for quite some time ever since she was arrested by The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 9  for an alleged procurement of drugs linked to the death of her boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress was given bail after spending 28 days in jail.

Now, finally, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the ‘Jalebi’ actress finally broke her social media silence and shared a picture with her mother Sandhya and penned a strong message. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Happy Women’s Day to us ..Maa and me .. together forever … my strength, my faith, my fortitude – my Maa ❤️#love #faith #fortitude #strength #mother #womenwhoinspire #womenempowerment”

Recently, on Friday, the NCB submitted a charge sheet against 33 persons, including Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother Showik before a special court in Mumbai in connection with the drugs case filed following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The agency in the charge sheet also stated that Chakraborty and Showik were actively involved in procuring and financing narcotic substances for Rajput.

Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde reacted to the charge sheet and said, “We will have the last laugh.”
