On Monday, one of her roommates returned to the flat, found that the door was not opening in spite of continuous ringing of the door bell. She then called on Chetna’s mobile number but didn’t get any response. With frequent failed attempts, she decided to call a nearby key maker and made a duplicate key to open the door only to find her friend hanging from the ceiling fan. She immediately informed her neighbours and the person with whom they had the room agreement.
“We are shocked as to why she took such a drastic step. We never heard of her facing any problem in her life. She was alone and surviving with her younger brother but we don’t have any information about her parents,” they said.
Her roommates revealed that she was a very nice person who never created any problem for anyone. She enjoyed her rides, as most of the times she was always out of Mumbai on her Enfield tours. Chetna was staying with them for the last three to four months.
She was a former women motorcycle coach and road captain at Enfield Riders. She came from Shimoga, Karnataka and worked at Dirt Bike Rider and was a student of the NSS college.
Her body is lying in the civic run hospital and will be handed over to her family members, police added.
