On Wednesday, Punjabi singer Amandeep Singh Lamba who is Delhi-based has been accused of rape by a women.
A police officer told press that the complainant told the police that she was raped by Singh in the month of March.
The complainant is also delhi based and works with an event management company and the singer has been booked under Section 376 of the IPC.

The case was registered in the first week of July and the complainant’s statement has been recorded and her medical examination has been completed.
Though there is a rapid action in the probe still Singh was granted exemption by a court from joining the investigation till July 18.
Today, he will join the investigation at Mehrauli police station on Thursday, the officer said.
