Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan: Taapsee Pannu and Pratik Gandhi to star in comedy film

On Monday, it was announced that Taapsee Pannu and ‘Scam 1992’ fame Pratik Gandhi will be collaborating for the first time for Siddharth Roy Kapur’s production venture, ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan.’ It is touted to be a comedy film and will be written and directed by ‘Breathe Into The Shadows’ co-writer Arshad Syed.

The official social media handle of Roy Kapur Films announced the upcoming project and captioned it as: “Happy to announce our next production, a madcap comedy filled with twists and turns in the search for a missing ladki! #WohLadkiHaiKahaan? starring @taapsee and @pratikg80, produced by #SiddharthRoyKapur and written & directed by @justarshad. On the floors soon!”

Talking about their film, ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan.’ is said to be an investigative comedy in which Taapsee will essay the role of a feisty cop. On the other hand, Pratik will be seen as a chauvinistic brat whose paths cross with Taapsee. This will also mark Gandhi’s first Bollywood project after his massive success with the Hansal Mehta-directed web series, which garnered him immense appreciation by the audience. The director Arshad Syed is currently zeroing in on the rest of the cast and the movie will go on floors by the end of the year.
