The sets of Bigg Boss season 13 will be shifted to Mumbai from Lonavla this year. Yes, the previous 12 seasons of Bigg Boss were shot in Lonavla but the makers of the show have decided to shoot this time in Mumbai’s Film City, reported SpotboyE. The reason behind this shifting could be Salman Khan’s hectic schedule or cost-cutting. According to reports, Bigg Boss season 13 will also be telecasted not only on Colors channel but also on Sony TV.
Since Reliance has taken over Viacom18 in January last year and this year since they will be taking the shots, it is reported that the house will be erected in Mumbai to cut extra expenses. The makers of the show have also beefed up the security ensuring no details should be leaked among the fans.
During the time of this season, Salman Khan will be busy shooting for Prabhudeva’s Dabangg 3 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah. Salman Khan might not have wanted to travel to Lonavla from Mumbai amid his hectic schedule, which might lead makers to shift the location.
According to the rumours, there would not be any commoners in this season. It is confirmed by Omung Kumar the director of Bigg Boss that this season will have a new location and it is Mumbai. The director’s wife Vanita Kumar, who is the production designer of Bigg Boss and has been designing the set for last seven years consecutively. Currently, the theme of this season has not been finalised yet.
The 13th season of Bigg Boss will be shot on the same set of Marathi Bigg Boss season 2. The host of the show Mahesh Manjrekar suggested that Salman Khan has already seen the set and he liked it. It is said that there are still some changes to be made on the sets. The shooting of the Bigg Boss season 13 will start as soon as the shooting of the Marathi Bigg Boss season 2 ends.
