Facebook owned WhatsApp is speculated to be working on its bunch of new features. According to the latest reports, the app is expecting to roll out a bunch of new features in just few weeks. The new features include cashback perks, enhanced WhatsApp payment modes, redesigned group info pages, emojis, stickers and etc.
WABetaInfo shared a screengrab claiming that this messaging giant will soon start notifying its user about the cashback benefits. There’s no official information as to who would be eligible for the cashback perks on the platform. Alongside adding new features for payments mode, WhatsApp is said to be working on other features such as allowing users to design a group icon, adding background colours to the icon and adding emojis. The app is also apparently working on to add new features around ‘last seen’, wherein users can pick and select individual from their contact list to hide their last seen status, they don’t have to hide last seen from all. The app might also allow users to report individuals from any group, without affecting their presence in the group. These features shall be available for both iOS and Android users.
WhatsApp has not officially confirmed anything about prepping to roll out these new features. However, as per the speculations it will introduce these features in next few weeks. The new features are apparently under development and is available in the 2.2137.3 desktop beta version.
