5 Killed, 5 Critically Injured In Blast At Plastic Factory in Malda, West Bengal
Five persons were killed in a blast at a plastic factory in West Bengal.. The massive explosion took place at a plastic product manufacturing unit in Sujapur area in Malda district. More than 15 people were critically injured. The injured were taken to the Malda Medical College and Hospital.

Police and fire personnel are at the spot to douse the fire. They are also investigating the reason behind the fatal blast. Though the exact cause is still not ascertained. Police suspect that a machine inside the manufacturing unit exploded causing the blast.
DM and SP on spot have been reporting to state officers after urgent inquiries and compensation steps have been taken. A senior Minister has flown to site and it is time to be factually correct.Government is helping the victims and their families.(2/2)

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a compensation of ₹ 2 Lakh for the family of those who died and ₹ 50,000 for the injured.
