The game of cricket, over the years, have witnessed some really athletic moments on the field which at times leave the audience jaw-dropped, making them think a while as to what just transpired.
There have been great catches in modern day cricket and the one Glenn Maxwell took the other day to dismiss South African skipper Faf Du Plessis would definitely rank right at the top.
The Proteas skipper came up with a stunning pull-shot off the bowling off Billy Stanlake. But he didn’t get the end result as Maxwell who was lurking near the boundary grabbed a scintillating catch to send the batsman back to the pavilion.

There have been similar catches in the past across formats in cricket but this catch stands out of all primarily because of the fact that the ball was travelling at a good pace as it had come right out of the middle of Du Plessis’ bat.
