Ongoing Afghanistan crises has caught the attention of the World. After Taliban took over the governance, many people plead to leave the country seeking independence for woman and children. Shocking videos and pictures went viral on the internet featuring the worsening conditions. After many renowned celebrities raise their voice over the crises, Warina Hussain says that all the feminists and philanthropists need to speak out. Warina who made her Bollywood debut with Love Yatri (Aayush Sharma starrer) movie has an Afghan nationality.
As per the media reports, the actress shifted to Uzbekistan many years ago considering the changing political environment in Afghanistan. She soon came to India to venture into Bollywood films and has been living in Mumbai’s apartment. According to a latest report by Pinkvilla, the actress while talking about the Afghanistan crises says, “I’ve chosen to do so for my friends and mother. If you stand up for a cause, people will label it as a publicity stunt, and if you don’t, then they will criticise you. In either case, the decision is entirely up to the individual. However, I am seeing fewer people speaking up this time. I would like to ask all feminists and philanthropists to please speak out against injustice. Innocent people need you.”
Further questioning about the basic human rights, Warina adds, “Their independence is in jeopardy, and simple things like going for a walk outside and breathing fresh air will no longer be possible. Recently my friend went outside fully covered including the head scarf, when some men threatened her saying it’s the last time we are warning you not to be seen again without a chadari. I just want to ask where are their basic human rights?”
Reportedly, Warina’s family was made to flee out during the internal political crises in Afghanistan a few years ago.
