Virat Kohli: We might be tempted to play new spin twin in Tests too
Indian skipper Virat Kohli faces a happy dilemma on brink of the Test series against England that begins from 1st August. With the scintillating performances by the new spin twin in the T20 series as well as first ODI, the Indian skipper will have variety of options to chose from.
“Anything is possible with the selections for Tests and there might be a few surprises. Kuldeep is making a strong case for himself and so is Chahal. And looking at the way, the English batsmen have struggled against them, we might be tempted to do it,” said Kohli.
India won the T20 series against hosts England and also began the three match ODI series with a one sided victory. Thanks to Kuldeep Yadav, who took five and six wickets respectively in the opening matches of both the T20 as well as ODI series. Unplayable spin bowling and clinical batting has been the highlight of the tour so far as India look to seal the series just as they did in the T20’s.

“But the focus now is winning the next two games. Especially the next game, looking at it from the series perspective. The weather has been lovely. It has been very welcoming. The crowd support has been brilliant. The tour is really long and there is some tough cricket ahead of us which we are looking forward to,” the skipper added.
The new spin twin have impressed since they were presented the opportunity of playing in place of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. They have grabbed the opportunity so well that the selection committee and skipper Virat Kohli has landed in a difficult situation over choosing the better pair going into the Test series.
