Virat Kohli — Indian Skipper — on Saturday inaugurated Pro Kabaddi season 7 at Mumbai’s NSCI Stadium and expressed his love for Kabaddi. One of the best batsmen in the world, Virat Kohli reminded his childhood when he used to play Kabaddi. Expressing his feeling for Kabaddi, Kohli said that watching this sport he played in childhood gives him a different feeling.
Virak Kohli, who was born in Delhi praised the players of Pro Kabbadi Season 7 for growing the culture of Kabaddi in our country. On the second day of Mumbai leg, Delhi takes on Haryana. Virat Kohli also sang the national anthem ahead of the start of the Maharashtra Derby as home team U Mumba took on the Puneri Paltan.
Speaking about his connection with Kabaddi, Kolhi said to Pinkvilla, “Kabaddi has taken a leap in the sports culture in our country since the inception of the Pro Kabaddi League. Seeing a sport that we all have played as kids to get to this stature today gives a different feeling altogether especially when you know that the Indian kabaddi team is one of the best ones throughout the world.”
“Then seeing how players from all over the globe come to India to be a part of the Pro Kabaddi League shows that the level of the sport has been escalated exponentially. The reason kabaddi has become a world-recognized sport is due to the fitness and determination of the Indian kabaddi players.” Virat added.
Following ICC World Cup 2019, Virat Kolhi will next lead team India, in India vs West Indies series starting from August 2nd at Florida.
