Just after Gangs of Wasseypur and Black Friday director Anurag Kashyap’s statement explaining the reasons behind dissolving Phantom Films, another filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane has issued a statement on Vikas Bahl. Motwane in his statement denied the accusations that he tried to shield Vikas Bahl and called him a sexual predator who preyed on a young woman.
Accusing Bahl as sexual offender, the Udaan director offered his apologies to the survivor. He also promised that these things (sexual harassment) will never happen again on his watch. Motwane stated that, along with his other partners, he tried to help the survivor, but as her boyfriend didn’t want her name to come out in public the matter was dropped.
In his statement, Motwane reiterated Kashyap’s words and said that Bahl abused the survivor’s trust and ruined her life. The victim had alleged that she was sexually and mentally harassed by one of the employees at the production house. It is to be known that Motwane is the one of the founders of the production house — Phantom Films.
