Ex-Bigg Boss contestant and television producer, Vikas Gupta slammed the former cricketer and this season’s contestant Sreesanth, actor Dipika Kakar and Karanvir Bohra.
We all know that wildcard entries bring a lot of flavour and spice to the show. And we also know that cracking jokes and making silly comments are not a new thing in the Bigg Boss house. However, there is a fine line between what should be said and what shouldn’t.
Vikas Gupta mocked wild card entrant Rohit Suchanti stating that he belonged to the LGBTQ community for wearing purple.
Earlier, the actor Karanvir Bohra, Sreesanth and other contestants of the BB 12 house were seen passing rave comments pertaining to Rohit Suchanti’s sexuality. Karanvir mentioned the possibility that Rohit might ‘swing both ways’.
Sreesanth had to comment upon Rohit Suchanti’s shorts. He said, “I mean what’s wrong with wearing purple shorts?” That’s not it, he even made mean gestures on Rohit Suchanti. Honestly, this wasn’t expected of him.
Vikas who was also one of the most loved contestants of Bigg Boss 11 expressed his discontent with what happened via his official Twitter handle. He wrote on Twitter, “Some of my favourite housemates including my friend Dipika laughed while Sreesanth was making homophobic jokes instead of correcting him.”
He added, “Personally and I feel ashamed today that none of you had the guts to shut Sreesanth up and their fans who are level-headed and educated enough to realise that it’s not about Rohit Suchanti who is straight but the portrayal of the LGBTQ community as something to be made fun of or laughed at is really disgusting.” (sic)
It is highly unethical to comment upon anybody’s sexuality or sexual orientation of someone, the reason being that it is highly personal.
