Vikas Dubey’s close aide arrested from Thane by Maharashtra ATS team
Vikas Dubey aide Guddan Trivedi arrested from Thane in Maharashtra by ATS team, was involved in Kanpur ambush
A day after the encounter of dreaded gangster Vikas Dubey. Maharashtra ATS team has arrested his close aide Arvind Ramvilas Trivedi alias Guddan. The team caught him from Kolshet Road in Thane. Along with Guddan the team even arrested his driver Sushilkumar Suresh Tiwari alias Sonu.

An initial probe has revealed Guddan was involved in many criminal cases along with Vikas Dubey. Guddan was also wanted in the Kanpur ambush case in which 8 police personnel were gunned down earlier this month. The Uttar Pradesh government had announced a reward for Guddan’s arrest.
Encounter specialist Daya Naik has arrested Ramvilas Trivedi alias Guddan based on specific intelligence. The criminal will be handed over to UP STF and brought to UP via road.
“Trivedi was involved in many cases along with Dubey including the murder of Uttar Pradesh minister Santosh Shukla in 2001. The Uttar Pradesh government had also announced a reward for his arrest,” said Daya Naik.
Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter on Friday while he was being brought back to Kanpur from Ujjain. He was arrested from a temple there. UP Police said Vikas Dubey was killed after he made a bid to escape police custody and opened fire on the police.
Five of his close aides were also killed since the sensational Kanpur ambush on July 3.
