Vijender Singh hails ‘Toofan’ teaser, Farhan Akhtar REACTS

On March 12, the much-awaited teaser of ‘Toofan’ was released. The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra of ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.’ The film stars Farhan Akhtar as a national-level boxer, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in supporting roles.

The teaser received a positive response and many celebrities also lauded Farhan Akhtar and one of them was boxing champ Vijender Singh who also hailed the teaser. He took to his Twitter handle and wrote as: “The teaser looks awesome! Thanks for putting boxing on the map. The ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor replied to the boxer and wrote: “Thank you @boxervijender 👊🏽❤️

‘Toofaan’ is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and Farhan Akhtar. For the film, the actor had undergone immense training to get into the ring like a boxer. This film also marks ‘The Sky Is Pink’ actor’s second collaboration with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the 2013 ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.’

The sports drama will be releasing on the digital platform, Amazon Prime Video on 12 May.
