Vijay Sethupathi’s first movie ‘Thenmerku Paruvakaatru’, written and directed by Seenu Ramasamy won three National Film Awards.
Before starting his career he joined a theatre, Koothu Patrai, as an accountant. Later, he gradually took interest in acting.
Vijay Sethupathi has 2 kids- Surya and Shreeja. Reportedly, he kept the name of his son in the remembrance of his school friend, who passed away during their school days.
He has starred in more than 30 films including several successful ventures. He has won numerous awards, including two Filmfare Awards South and three Vijay Awards.
Besides acting, he has also produced three movies namely ‘Orange Mittai’, ‘Junga’, and ‘Merku Thodarchi Malai.’
