Versatile actress Vidya Balan’s latest film Sherni, which explores the human-wildlife interaction, debuts on Amazon Prime. Here is some update on her next project for fans. Vidya Balan is apparently reuniting with Ellipsis Entertainment producers Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar. She had last collaborated with them for the 2017 social comedy Tumhari Sulu.
Vidya Balan’s yet-to-be-titled Ellipsis Entertainment movie will also include Pratik Gandhi of Scam 1992 fame. The two will be romantically paired in the slice of life film.
As reported by sources to Peeping Moon, the romantic comedy revolves around two couples. Vidya and Pratik will play the first romantic pair, the makers are yet to lock the second couple. The film co-produced by Swati Iyer Chawla is said to be challenging social patriarchy through a new-age storyline. It will go on floor after the lockdown rules are relaxed.
Sources added, Ad filmmaker Shirsha Guha Thakurta will be directing this film. Shirsha has previously assisted Ram Gopal Varma on his films Rann (2010), Phoonk (2008), and Contract (2008). She is marking her directorial debut with Tanuj Garg’s production. The film will hit the floors later this year with a 45-days shooting schedule planned in Mumbai and South India.
But there has been no confirmation of the same from Ellipsis. In fact, Tanuj Garg issued a statement: “This is untrue. The casting isn’t even close to being finished. Even the scripting is still in the works. Only when we are ready can we make an announcement.”
On the work front, Vidya has Suresh Triveni’s next directorial that also stars Shefali Shah.
