Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Brother Vir Passed Away Due To COVID-19

Bollywood Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s elder brother, Vir Chopra(renowned producer) breathed his last on Monday. Reportedly, he was suffering from COVID-19 triggered health complications and was under medical attention for over three weeks at a hospital-based in Mumbai. He succumbed to the COVID, as per the reports.
As per a report by Times Of India, Vir passed away on July 5 and he was cremated by the family the very next day. The report also further states that Vir apparently had contacted the virus while being on a vacation to the Maldives a month ago. After returning to his house, he complained about having symptoms and few other health complications. He was rushed to a hospital wherein he was admitted for more than three weeks. However, doctors couldn’t save him.
For the unversed, Vir is known to have collaborated with Vidhu Vinod Chopra for hit films such Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, and Broken Horses including others. He is survived by his wife, Namita Nayak Chopra and actor son Abhay Chopra.
