After playing the role of an army man in ‘Uri’, Vicky Kaushal is all set to depict the role of a famous Indian revolutionary. The movie is a biopic on a famous Indian revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh. The man who assassinated General Dyer for causing Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919. Vicky Kaushal will be depicting the titular role in the movie.
A while back, Vicky’s first look as Udham Singh was revealed on social media and fans couldn’t get enough of it. Now, the makers have revealed the release date. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on October 2, 2019.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the release date,
Director Shoojit Sircar too confirmed the release date in an interview with Mumbai Mirror.
He said, “Yes, we will be releasing the film on October 2, 2020. Keeping in mind the remaining shoot schedule, post-production and the time required to complete the film, my producers and good friends Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar advised this date for a feasible release next year and I have decided to go with it.”
The first shoot schedule had kicked off in January and was wrapped up by May. The next is about to start in October 2019 and will go on for a few months. The next schedule will be shot in the UK, Russia, Europe, and North India. It will be a four-month shoot. A major chunk of the film will be wrapped up by January.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal also has Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan’s horror film, ‘Bhoot: Part one-The Haunted Ship’ and ‘Takht’ in his kitty.
