Bollywood handsome hunk, Vicky Kaushal is one of the most busiest actor in B-town. After releasing his war drama, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, he is currently gearing up for the release of some interesting films. As per the latest reports, he has bagged yet another project, which is the Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Chupke Chupke’ remake.
As per a latest report by Pinkvilla, a source close to the development informed the portal that Vicky Kaushal will be portraying Amitabh Bachchan’s role in ‘Chupke Chupke’ remake. “The makers have offered the Chupke Chupke remake to Vicky Kaushal now. Although he is yet to sign on the dotted line, the producers felt he is the perfect choice to play Big B’s role from the original. They feel he can portray the character and its nuances really well. Also, Rajkummar and Vicky have never shared screen space together and it will be a casting coup if it happens,” informed the source.
Rajkummar Rao was apparently busy shooting with Kriti Sanon for one of his project in Chandigarh. However, after the actress tested positive for Coronavirus infection, the project had to be paused, according to the reports. The actor has also been busy with films such as ‘Hum Do Humare Do’ and ‘Badhai Do’ remake. Apparently, in between these two films, the makers want to take ‘Chupke Chupke’ also on the floors, after locking the entire cast and their dates.
Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal including the makers have not yet officially announced the film.
Talking about the original flick, ‘Chupke Chupke’ was released in 1975 and it featured Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore and Asrani in the key roles. The film was helmed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and it went on to become one of the classic hit in Bollywood.
