Parrikar was admitted in the hospital due to his declining health conditions. Recently, he returned to the country after being treated in the United States. Earlier too, Parrikar went to US and was there for almost three months for his treatment.
After returning in September, Parrikar has asked Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah to look for options for the post of CM in Goa, but his request was denied. A couple of days ago Shah had said that Parrikar will remain the CM, but the cabinet will change.
