Bollywood has treated us with friendship tales for a long time. Be it Jai-Veeru or the recent Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, it has never failed to entertain us. But movies on female forget to garner market as much as the male friendship movies would.
Veere di wedding is based on the lives of four childhood BFF’s Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Sakshi (Swara Bhaskar), Meera (Shikha Talsania) and Avni (Sonam Kapoor). The movie revolves around their lives. Their lives change when Kalindi breaks her marriage with her long-time boyfriend Rishabh (Sumeet Vyas).
The story progresses when the three friends try to save the relationship between Kalindi and Rishabh. Not indulging in any details of how it’s done, the viewers are in for an entertaining ride.
The story doesn’t just focus on the lives of the leads but also explores the relationship between a child and a parent, how a firang son-in-law is yet to be accepted into the family and more. The movie is more than just about friendship, it’s about the characters seeking validation for something or someone.
The film has a lot of stereotypes, but the makers see to it that everyone gets an acknowledgement in some way or the other.
From attractive outfits to catchy songs to beautiful locations, the film is definitely an entertainer. So to sum it up, the film is bound to remind you of your 20s, get you nostalgic and make you miss your veere.
