There are have been reports doing rounds on the internet stating that Varun Dhawan had tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus while he was shooting for his upcoming film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh. Now, the Kalank actor has finally confirmed the news.
The actor took to his social media handle to inform the fans, he shared a selfie-and captioned the post as, “🙏
So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time 🙏🤍 thank u.”

Not just Varun, recently, it is reported that Maniesh Paul along with his senior co-actor Neetu Kapoor and Jug Jugg Jeeyo director Raj Mehta have also tested positive for the virus. However, they have not yet confirmed the same. Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Youtuber sensation Prajakta Kohli confirmed that he has tested negative for the same.
As per a report in PTI, Varun and Raj Mehta are quarantining in Chandigarh. “Varun and even the director have tested positive, though both of them have decided to stay there.”
The latest reports state that Neetu flew back to Mumbai after her son and actor Ranbir Kapoor organized the air ambulance for her. The shooting of the film has also been halted as the actors tested positive for COVID-19.
