Bollywood stars and celebrities often express gratitude towards the Mumbai Police for their extraordinary efforts to maintain law and order in the city amid the COVID 19 lockdown. Recently, Varun Dhawan shared a throwback photo with a cop, but, the actor got brutally trolled by a Twitterati for setting ‘bad example.’
In the photo, Varun Dhawan can be seen shaking hands with a cop. A fan slammed the Kalank actor and replied to the photo saying, “Where is social distancing, mask and gloves. Idiot is shaking hands with policeman risking him of infection. Bad example set by this actor.”
To which, the actor gave a befitting reply and said, “Idiot this is old picture clicked 2 months back love u”
Varun Dhawan was amongst the first actor who donated towards the PM CARE Fund. This initiative was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 28, 2020, to fight against the ongoing coronavirus in the world.
He took to his Twitter handle to announce about the same, “I pledge to contribute 30 lakhs to the PM CARE fund. We will over come this. Desh hai toh hum gain.” he tweet.

On the professional front, Varun Dhawan was last seen in Remo Dsouza’s musical-dance-drama film‘Street Dancer 3D’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor which did not do well at the box office. The 32-year-old actor will be seen next in David Dhawan’s comedy film ‘Coolie No 1’ which also stars Sara Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Rajpal Yadav, and Johnny Lever.
