Vaastav 2: Salman Khan Shares This Thought-Provoking Short Film By Mahesh Manjrekar On Coronavirus

Coronavirus has created a lot of anxiety and fear among the public. All we can do is to stay home and maintain social distancing to curb the spread of this deadly virus. Our Bollywood celebs have been urging fans to stay home and safe. Amid the lockdown, actor-filmmaker, Mahesh Manjrekar came up with a thought-provoking short film Vaastav 2. The movie also has Saiee Manjrekar.
Salman Khan took to his social media handles to share the short film with the hashtag “#IndiaFightsCorona”. Mahesh had posted the video on his Instagram handle with the caption, “The Harsh Reality We Can Overcome With a Little Discipline.”
In the short film, Mahesh Manjrekar (playing a father) is addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. When the stock gets over, amid the lockdown, he steps out of his house despite his children’s protest. Gradually, he shows symptoms of Coronavirus and then succumbs to the virus.
The film ends with the message-“In these difficult times, some pleasures in life can wait. COVID-19 is a reality, don’t open your doors to it. Stay home, stay safe.”
This is indeed a great work and right way to spread awareness of Coronavirus. Written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, it is edited by Saiee Manjrekar.
