Uttar Pradesh govt to install 221-metre bronze statue of Lord Ram
One after another, a series of statues are coming up across the country. Since World’s tallest ‘Statue of Unity’ was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, in Gujarat.
After Gujarat, now Uttar Pradesh, another BJP led government is likely to install a 221-meter bronze statue of Lord Ram in the holy city Ayodhya, UP Principal Secretary Avinash Awasthi confirmed on Saturday.
It is to be noted that the exact height of the bronze statue would be 151-meter tall, its overhead umbrella would be 20-meter long while the pedestal would be 50 metres, he said. Adding on he said that A museum would be housed at the pedestal.

At least architect five firms have been shortlisted for construction of the Lord Ram statue, who have given presentations before the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the officer said adding that soil testing is underway for installing the statue.
