Uttar Pradesh: Man slashes 6-month-old daughter’s neck, vocal cord

Yet another heartwarming incident happened in Uttar Pradesh, a man allegedly cut the neck and finger of his 6-month-old daughter. According to NDTV report, the baby girl’s speech may be severely impaired as her vocal cord has been slashed.  The incident is said to have taken place on Sunday. The accused is identified as Jahid.

As per reports, Jahid and his wife had an altercation on Sunday night wherein he accused his wife of having an extra-marital affair with a neighbour. It is to be noted that, the accused has been arrested, who is said to be in his twenties.

The police told NDTV that during an interrogation Jahid informed that he overheard neighbour’s gossip about his wife saying that he was not the father of the baby. Later at night when he asked his wife she allegedly did not reply to his questions said the police and in a fit of rage, he attacked the baby and his wife with a kitchen knife.

However, the baby is said to be in a critical condition and wife suffered minor injuries on her arm.

The police have already started its investigation and interrogated the family and neighbours. According to police, neighbours said that the man was a drug addict and often beat his wife.
