UEFA Champions League: Borussia Dortmund trounce Atletico Madrid 4-0
English teenager Jadon Sancho continued rising in stature as one of the brightest prospects in football as he netted his first Champions League goal for Borussia Dortmund in their emphatic 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
The winger scored the third goal for his side as they now are at the top of Group A with nine points from three matches. The other scorers were Axel Witsel and Raphael Guerreiro, who scored a brace in the 73rd and 89th minute to cap off a dominant win over the Spanish giants.
This was the biggest defeat faced by Diego Simeone in his seven years in the Madrid club.

A deflected shot in the first half led to Belgian midfielder Witsel’s opener in the 30th minute. The scoreline remained 1-0 at half-time and it wasn’t until the 73rd that the second goal was scored when Guerreiro struck. He followed it up with another one in the 89th, six minutes before Sancho pounced on a ball from Achraf Hakimi to become the youngest England player to score a Champions League goal after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had achieved the feat for Arsenal against Olympiakos in 2011.
The German club proved to be too hot for Atletico to handle as even though they managed to hit the post twice through Saul Niguez and Angel Correa, they failed to get a goal to their name as they remained completely outplayed by Dortmund.
