Delhi: Two shot after they request to play song repeatedly, DJ arrested
At least two persons were shot after a fight erupted over song selection and requesting to play a song again and again in Delhi’s Palam village on Sunday night. Police have arrested three people including a disc jockey (DJ) in this connection.
According to reports, Shanky Bhardwaj (23) and Tushar Bhardwaj were cousin brothers, insisted the DJ to play the song ‘Tamanche Pe Disco...’ repeatedly, which led to a fight between them, a police officer said.
After receiving information about the incident, when police reached the spot, they found both brothers were lying in the pool of blood on the floor.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Devender Arya told news agency IANS, “They were taken to a hospital in Dwarka where they are undergoing treatment and their condition is out of danger as declared by the doctors.”
The accused persons are identified as DJ Akshay (19), Sanjay Sharma (29) and Ashish Sharma (23). All the three accused were arrested on Monday from their hideouts in west Delhi in separate police raids.
Joint Commissioner of Police (New Delhi range) Ajay Choudhary said, “All the accused persons and victims are neighbours. During the celebration at the family function, both Bhardwaj brothers along with their friends while dancing on the floor have a verbal argument with Akshay overplaying of songs.”
“Akshay later informed his employers, Sanjay Sharma and Ashish Sharma, who attacked and fired at Shanky and Tushar. The victims suffered bullet injuries on their abdomen,” police said.
