Two Indians scale Mount Kilimanjaro to create awareness
Two Indians, one from Telangana and one from Maharashtra have scaled the highest peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro, at 5895 mts.(19341 FTS) carrying the largest Indian flag and singing the national anthem. Amgoth Tukaram from Telangana and Deepak from Maharashtra are the two mountaineers to have achieved this feat. They have also applied for their feat to be entered into Limca Book of Records, Indian Records, High Range Book of World Records on 4th July 2018 @7.30 am. Amgoth Tukaram is all of 19 years, hailing from Yacharam Mandal, Telangana is pursuing his final year degree in BA from Telangana.
“I celebrated Telangana Formation day on the mountains,” says young mountaineer Amgoth Tukaram with pride.
Amgoth is a passionate mountaineer who likes to challenge himself by choosing the most treacherous routes to scale the mountains.

And, he seems to be undeterred by the challenges he has faced in the past. Akin to a true adventurer, he lets his passion overpower the difficulties.
This prodigy’s achievements and awards outnumbers his age. At the age of 18, Tukaram scaled Stok Kangri, which is the world’s highest trekkable mountain. “We chose the most difficult month to scale this mountain,” he says. Tukaram and his team went on 20 km of trek in unfavourable weather conditions. Before Kangri, he scale Mt. Norbu. “It was an adventure which started with a 10 km trek in Himalayas and then 300 metres of strenuous ascent to Norbu,” he explains.
He plans each of his expeditions in such a way that he reaches the peak everytime on the Telangana State Formation day. Tukaram plans to mark the Republic Day by scaling Mount Kilimanjaro in South Africa and Nun Kun mountain comprising two mountain peaks on Independence Day.
“I’m very thankful to Sudhakar Rao sir, MD of TS Redco for identifying my talent and being a constant support by sponsoring my adventures,” says Tukaram. “I look forward to scaling the majestic Everest from south pole through Hillary steps,” he adds. No one in South India has ever attempted this before. The enterprising young man is now on the lookout for sponsors.
Deepak Konale, of Latur district, too, successfully scaled the African country’s highest peak ‘Kilimanjaro’, on 4th July.
The campaign was organized by 360 explorers group, established by world-famous Everest scaler Anand Bansode, Balaji Jadhav, Nikhil Yadav and Sagar Bharti.
