Twitter’s forthcoming Camera feature will remind users of Snapchat. The micro-blogging social giant is working on “NEWS CAMERA”, a new way of tweeting Photos and Videos with captions. The info is leaked by an app researcher who found that Twitter has already started testing News Camera, restricted to limited users and platform.
According to a tweet by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter’s new feature will allow users to record video by swiping left from the home screen. Post created using News Camera will be called -Moments. Original Moment feature was withdrawn last year in the month of October, and it will be replaced by the new one.
Jane replied on her tweet the feature is not available for Android, but available for testing on iOS. Matt Navarra Former Social Media Director of TheNextWeb was able to get hands-on how it works. He tweeted a few screenshots that revealed the UI where users can post live videos, photos, and live broadcast and use Snapchat-style captions.
A couple of days ago Matt also shared a video of showing how really the News Camera feature work. Accessible through swiping left from home screen, Twitter app activates phone camera and offer a photo click or video recording. Users can place caption, add background color and location to the post. Check the video below.
