TV newsmakers of the week: Bigg Boss, Kapil Sharma, Kasauti Zindagi Ki and others

India was hooked to the General Lok Sabha Elections 2019 this entire week. But politics was not the only thing holding the attention of Indian viewers on television this entire week. There were a number of popular shows that created a buzz. Yes, as the nation waited with bated breathe to know who will don the crown of the next Prime Minister of India. Our favorite TV celebs too did a thing to grab our attention. They have managed to create a ripple on the small screen too.

Here are some of the popular television news that grabbed our attention this entire week:

1. Bigg Boss 13:

One of the most popular reality show on Indian Television that is hosted by Salman Khan is all set to make a comeback with a new season. The Dabangg Khan had recently confirmed that he is returning as the host of the popular show. This time around there are some major changes in the format. As per reports, the Bigg Boss house will not be created in Lonavala but Mumbai. The other being no commoner only celebs will be a part of the show.

2. Kapil Sharma:

Stand up comedian and actor Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath are all set to welcome new addition in their family. Yes, Kapil who tied the knot with his family members are taking much more care of Ginni. He is taking her along to his shoots and at home his mother is looking after each and every need of Ginni.

3. Ankita Lokhande:

Televisions much-loved actress Ankita Lokhande who recently marked her Bollywood debut in Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika is all set to get hitched. She is tying the knot with longtime beau Vicky Jain. Reportedly, Ankita and Vicky are looking at December or January 2019 as the wedding dates. They have apparently also bought a posh 8-BHK flat in suburban Mumbai.

4. Kasautii Zindagii Kay:

Ekta Kapoor is back with her much popular show Kasauti Zindagi Kay, but with a new star cast. The show has been hitting headlines for a number of reasons. There have been reports that after actress Hina Khan’s exit even Erica Fernandes has left the show. Then there were rumours of Karan Singh Grover being roped in for the role of Mr Bajaj. But even Karan is s quite uncertain about his entry in the show.

5. Rubina Dilaik:

Rubina Dilaik of Shakti fame made headlines with her recent interview in which she has opened up about her struggle period. She had also confessed about selling her home for money as her debut TV show’s makers didn’t pay her. There is some good news from her front, she and her hubby Abhinav Shukla are all set to participate in the dance reality show Nach Baliye’s upcoming season.
