Post the ending, screenwriter, Lee Si Eun spills the beans on working on this project. She shared interesting details from characterization to plotting and much more.
As per a report by Soompi, Lee Si Eun while talking about the show stated that she’ll take the compliments to mean that the drama was just as good as the original (webtoon), but not better. She reasoned it out saying that the webtoon and the drama both are different genres. She further stated that the drama didn’t only received great reviews because of the lead characters and their story, but its being loved because of the supporting cast as well.
“I did focus more on Ju Gyeong and Su Ho’s story. I tried to tightly intertwine the narrative of them overcoming their painful pasts and the narrative of their relationship beginning and reaching completion. Their love for each other contributed to their growth into stronger people, and I hoped that their love would not waver no matter what troubles came at them,” Lee Si Eu stated further.
She opened up that initially there were pressures on her because the original webtoon was received well the audience and they were worried whether the viewers would get attached to the characters from the drama. However, she expressed her gratitude that the audience liked it.
