The star cast and crew members of South Korean drama, True Beauty have came under the radar for their recent group picture from the wrap up session. Netizens slammed the crew for posing for a group picture without wearing the masks. Now the production house has issued a official apology after the backlash.
According to a latest report by Soompi, the statement issued by the True Beauty production staff read, “We apologize for causing many people concern due to the staff group photo taken after the end of filming. “During the filming of “True Beauty,” we strictly followed the rules on preventing infection transmission and were able to finish filming safely. However, we ended up causing people concern with the photo taken to commemorate the end of filming where we temporarily took off our masks. We will do our best to create a safe set in which there is not a single moment in which we are careless about the rules.”
For the unversed it was Cha Eun Woo who shared a group picture on his official social media handles. He thanked the crew for working hard as a part of True Beauty. He captioned the post as, “To the staff, cast, and crew of ‘True Beauty,’ you all worked hard.” After the picture went viral, the makers were criticized for avoiding the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Talking about the drama, True Beauty takes us to the life of Lim Ju-gyeong who becomes very popular at school when her YouTube make-up channel becomes a success. The drama is set in the backdrop of high school and it aired between Dec 9, 2020 – Feb 4, 2021.
