Tottenham star Dele Alli injured after knife point robbery at home

Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Dele Alli was robbed at knifepoint at his North London home. Alli, 24, and his adopted brother Harry Hickford were reportedly hurt in the incident. The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday. The assailants got away with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of valuables.

As reported by sources to Goal.com, “Two males gained entry into the player’s home in Barnet and threatened them. The property and stole items of jewelry, including watches, before fleeing. Alli and his adopted brother Harry Hickford were reportedly hurt in the incident. They did not require hospital treatment. No arrests; inquiries into the circumstances continue.

The report further added, Alli and Hickford’s girlfriends, as well as a friend, were also in the house when the incident occurred.

Dele Alli took to Twitter and has thanked fans for support.  He wrote, “Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we’re all okay now. Appreciate the support.”

Tottenham said in a statement, “We have been offering our support to Dele and those isolated with him. We encourage anyone with any information to help the police with their investigation to come forward.”

Alli is due to return to training with Spurs next week ahead of a possible resumption of Premier League matches. They might start in June following the coronavirus pandemic.
