22-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi was arrested by Delhi Police in Toolkit Case. Two more non-bailable warrants have been issued against two more for allegedly sharing the toolkit. The Delhi police have secured the warrant against Nikita Jacob and Shantanu.
As reported by sources to National Herald, “Non-bailable warrants have been issued against Nikita Jacob and Shantanu. The two are wanted in connection with the toolkit case. They are suspected to be involved in preparing the documents and were also in direct interaction with pro-Khalistani elements.”
Jacob has submitted a plea seeking an urgent hearing before the Bombay High Court on Monday. Jacob in her plea had sought transit anticipatory bail for a period of four weeks. It is to approach the court concerned in Delhi to apply for pre-arrest bail.
The Delhi police claim that the Poetic Justice Foundation (PJF) was behind the ‘toolkit’ shared by Thunberg. They added that a foundation is a pro-Khalistani group. They had also contacted Jacob to organise a “tweetstorm” ahead of the Republic Day protest by farmers.
Bengaluru-based Disha Ravi was arrested by the Delhi police on conspiracy and sedition charges. Ravi was produced in a Delhi court on Sunday in the absence of her lawyers and sent to five-day police custody. Her arrest has sparked outrage on social media.
