Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi has tested positive for COVID-19. The superstar had taken the test before resuming his shoot for upcoming release Acharya as a safety measure. The actor on Monday took to social media and informed his fans that he had tested positive for the coronavirus. The actor is at present under home quarantine.
Taking to Twitter, Chiranjeevi wrote, “Took a test for COVID-19 before resuming ‘Acharya’ shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive. I am currently asymptomatic and quarantining myself at home. Request all those who met me in the last few days to also undergo COVID-19 tests. Will update you on my recovery soon.”
Chiranjeevi further informed that he was asymptomatic and isolating himself at home. He also urged all those who came in contact with him in the last 5 days to undergo a covid test.
Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna had recently met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. They had donated Rs one crore and Rs 50 lakh respectively to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) after heavy rains flooded Hyderabad.
