Indian women’s hockey team scripted a historic moment after entering the semi-finals at the Tokyo Olympics. The whole nation is praising the team including celebs and politicians. Shah Rukh Khan reacted to one of the tweet post by Sjoerd Marijne, who is the coach for women’s hockey team India. As the Ex-coach Kabir Khan from Chak De! India movie, Shah Rukh Khan asks him to bring back gold.
Indian women’s hockey team will have a face off with Argentina in the semi-finals on August 4. The match is slated to take place at the Oi Hockey Stadium. The coach, Sjoerd Marijne took to his official Twitter handle to inform his family that he will be coming late. He shared a picture of himself with women’s hockey team players and captioned it, “Sorry family, I’m coming again later (sic).”
SRK reacted this picture in an epic way. Shah Rukh Khan retweeted the picture on his handle and wrote, “Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan.”
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan was portraying the role of a coach for Indian women hockey team in the film, Chak De! India. It was directed by Shimit Amin and it was released in 2007. It starred Vidya Malavade, Shilpa Shukla, Sagarika Ghatge, Chitrashi Rawat and Anaitha Nair in the key roles.
