Wrestler Ravi Dahiya Defeats Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev Qualifies For Finals in 57 kg freestyle
Indian Wrestler Ravi Dahiya defeated Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev and secured a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. He has now qualified for the finals in 57 kg freestyle after defeating Sanayev at the Makuhari Messe Hall A, Mat B on Wednesday. Nurislam Sanayev had taken a 9-2 lead, but Dahiya registered a come-from-behind win to defeat Nurislam Sanayev with just 30 seconds remaining.

Dahiya displayed some brilliant wrestling moves under pressure. Though he was down 9-2 with just under two minutes to go. The wrestler kept his cool got a grapple over his opponent. He soon took down Sanayev and pinned him to the mat. Dahiya won thus securing a silver medal for himself.

He will be in action tomorrow for the final against ROC’s Zavur Uguev for Gold. The final match between the two is scheduled to take place on 5th August 4:10 PM IST.
