ARMY’s couldn’t contain their excitement when Kpop band, BTS members were shown as representers of South Korea at the Tokyo Olympics. Fans shared the pictures on social media, wherein all the seven members of Bangtan Boys could be seen representing Korea alongside Namdaemun (The first Korea National Treasure which was made in 14C) and Yi Sun Sin (military general famed for his victories against foreign invasion 16C). It is indeed a proud moment for Kpop fans. According to the latest reports, the South Korean Archery team apparently had requested the officials to play a BTS song at their award ceremony. However, BlackPink’s Boombayah was played because of a mistake.
According to a report by Koreaboo, team representative Kang Chae Young had apparently shared after the match at a press conference about being originally requesting a BTS song, which was to be played during the award ceremony. The team reportedly wanted BTS’s Dynamite song to be played when they received the medals. Nonetheless, BTS’s other songs were played occasionally whenever there was a mention of South Korean athletes.
BTS’s Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, RM and V are known for enjoying a massive fan-following. The seven members never fail to make an impact whenever international events are associated with South Korea. Time and again, the septet made their fans feel proud.
