Tokyo Olympics: PV Sindhu bags bronze beating China’s He Bing Jiao
PV Sindhu made a victory against China's He Bing Jiao at the Tokyo Olympics. She bagged the bronze medal for India in the Badminton Women's singles category
On Sunday(August 1), PV Sindhu made a victory defeating China’s He Bing Jiao at the Tokyo Olympics. She won the bronze medal for India in the Badminton Women’s singles category. She becomes the first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals. The star player defeated He Bing Jiao with 21-13, 21-15 in the bronze medal match.
On Saturday, PV Sindhu lost the number one position to Tai Tzu Ying in the semi-final. Sindhu lost the semi-final 18-21, 12-21. Today, she was consistent and defeated Jiao in a straight game to clinch the women’s singles bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. The match lasted straight for 53 minutes and Sindhu made the victory mesmerizingly. With three back-to-back points, Sindhu restored her three-point advantage in the second game against her opponent. Right from winning the opening game 21-13, she appeared confident.
