The second wave of Coronavirus has hit the world badly. Many actors from the industry have contracted the virus and the recent one to detect is ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ fame Kush Shah who plays the Goli and three more people have tested positive for Covid-19 on the sets, confirmed producer Asit Kumarr Modi.
In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Asit Kumarr Modi said that the team had to take everyone’s RT-PCR tests on the set and everyone tested negative, except for four people tested positive for COVID-19 and they have already been home-quarantined as they were showing some symptoms. On Friday, April 9, the members were tested and everyone has been taking precautions during the shoot.
Kush Shah, who plays Goli on the show and some production people, also tested positive. Except for Kush, no one has tested positive in the main cast.
Talking about the ban on shootings, “Earlier the guidelines said that everyone would have permission to shoot if the RT-PCR test comes out negative but now the shoot has stopped for 15 days. We thought that if the shoot is allowed, we will be able to create a bio bubble and shoot because entertainment is the only way to reduce people’s stress. However, I fully agree with the government because they know the situation better and the decision that they take will be for everyone’s good because safety is the utmost priority.”
Currently, the shoots of television shows have been stopped for the next 15 days due to the rising cases of Covid-19.
